The idea for Flow State was distilled from over 20 years working in B2C and B2B agencies of all shapes and sizes. The original idea was to bring together the expertise of external service providers, with the scalability of a product, to help marketers align brand communications with the customer buying journey. This job is nowhere near as simple as it sounds in a large org, where you are faced with multiple functions, teams, people, processes and tools that all too often are in conflict with one another.
“There are too many possible options, solutions and developments in digital for any marketer to realistically stay on top of or resource for in an internal marketing team. Traditional agency models are not keeping up with the changes, everyone is trying to hire from an often shallow talent pool, and vendors just want to sell you their wares. This leaves many marketers – particularly in larger corporates – lacking direct access to senior experience and creates a lot of busywork, misalignment and wastage that does not contribute to commercial results for the brand. Flow State was created to cut through all that, Gordian Knot style, and do things differently.”

Bringing together software with human expertise to deliver on our promises is where the magic happens.
As Jeff Goldblum famously reminded us in Jurassic Park: just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
There's already enough noise online, so we don't advise you to add to it simply because everyone else is doing so. Taking the time to really understand what we want to achieve provides the most direct and effective course of action.
